K is for Kalypso, the Greek goddess of silence, also a nymph and lover of Odysseus.

This is part of a Photoshop Class assignment that we have. Essentially, we have to pick a theme, and then find a magazine picture or draw a drawing for each letter of the alphabet.

I chose the theme: Greek gods and goddesses. Because I love Greek mythology, and I'm stupid enough to draw 26 of them. I'm even taking it one step farther: eventually, I'll have 52 of them drawn to create a full deck of cards. Fun X).

LOL... this picture took FAAAAAR longer than it should've. Probably because I procrastinated on getting started on it, then I decided to make the hair way too complicated for its own good, and finally was always distracted while CGing it @_@;; haha.

UM... at first I liked this picture... but putting it off so much made it a pain in the butt so I ended up not liking it. YEAH, flaws in the picture again, different ones this time (I think). I tried coloring a few things slightly differently... I'm not sure if you can tell though, since it's still relatively the same. ...and I think I made her too green, nyah. Let's just say that she's envious of Odysseus' wife? XD

Yep, Kalypso loved Odysseus, but he wanted to go back to his wife, so she couldn't have him. So I made her stretching her arm out, crying, reaching for him? And one of her shackles broke because... I like... the effect? Haha @_@;; *sucks at explaining what goes on in my head*.

Oh, and the background sucks, I know. I've pointed it out, please don't belabor the obvious. I suck at backgrounds, and I did this one fairly quickly because my comp was acting up again towards the end.

BTW, KALYPSO IS AN ALTERNATE SPELLING OF CALYPSO~ LOL... although there were other gods whose names began with K, I chose Kalypso because I love her story... so I wanted to draw her.
