X is for Xepherus, also spelled Zephyrus, Greek god of the west wind.

~+~+~+~

This is part of a Photoshop Class assignment that we have. Essentially, we have to pick a theme, and then find a magazine picture or draw a drawing for each letter of the alphabet.

I chose the theme: Greek gods and goddesses. Because I love Greek mythology, and I'm stupid enough to draw 26 of them. I'm even taking it one step farther: eventually, I'll have 52 of them drawn to create a full deck of cards. Fun X).

OMG, I'm soooooo behind with these greek deities, aren't I? Haha... I hope that... people are still interested *weeps*. Gomen for being so slowwwww~~ please continue to support my Greek deities series, nyah~ ;o;

This picture was inspired by TWO things ^^. The first of them is... <_<... >_>... Miyavi!! I'm soooo obsessed with him that it isn't even funny X_@. That's why Xepherus looks like a girl... *HAS A FETISH FOR GIRLY GUYS, STFU* XDDDD

The second is my 'twin', *chimaron!! Specifically this picture of hers: [link]

Please go check it out~!! Because that it's such a gorgeous pic and it inspired me to draw Xepherus, I'm dedicating this picture to her for her birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TWIN! C:

This picture is kinda based off of Xepherus's whole... ano... love affair with Hyacinth. To quote Wikipedia:
"Hyacinth was a Spartan prince, very handsome and athletic, the lover of Apollo. The pair were practicing throwing the discus when Hyacinth was struck by one, blown off course by Zephyrus, who was jealous of Apollo and loved Hyacinth as well. When Hyacinth died, Apollo created the flower from his blood."

So in this pic, Xepherus is getting ready to blow the discus off-course... he's not very happy about it, of course ;o;!! Poor guy TT__TT...

Ano... it's been awhile since I drew the deities... you may have noticed slight changes in my technique... for the better, I'm hoping. Nyan... I don't want too much critique on this, if possible XD;;... just nothing too harsh, okay? XD *doesn't want to start hating this pic* There are flaws, as usual =_=;;

I think a print will be available later ^^!! (don't flame me for continuing to offer prints. I don't want to hear any of that.)

Enjoy the crappu art~~ and once again, happy birthday Ren! ^^

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to explain the little details XD;;
Xepherus's arm reads "Aishiteru", or 'I love you' in Japanese. Because he loves his Hyacinth ;o;
Around his waist is a mini-lyre on a chain... Xepherus had close ties with Apollo, and Apollo's symbol was the lyre.
Xepherus is holding... materialized wind <_<... just work with me, okay? XD

92% percent of the teen population would be dead if Abercrombie and Fitch said it wasn't cool to breathe. Repost this if you are one of the 8% who would be laughing your ass off.
